It has certainly begun to feel like that. Like you, we technically do not know what is around the next corner.
We'll focus on what we do know for now.
We are working hard to control those things we can. We continue to follow all mandated guidelines. We continue to make the health & safety of our team, your residents and our vendors the highest priority.
As we reported in a previous newsletter, we have made a company decision to forego assessing late fees this month (and for the foreseeable future) as your residents weather their specific challenges. So far, a vast majority have been able to pay April rent. We've been contacted by some who have notified us they will be late but will make their payment. Those that do not we will be contacting you individually.
We have some news we alluded to back in the March newsletter: we are in the process of upgrading our database. Yes, in the midst of all this! This will offer enhanced capabilities for your portal and many convenience options for owners and residents. Yes, it will involve a bit of work setting up but it will be worth it!
