Felician Village News

It's beginning to look like Christmas at Felician Village!

From twinkling lights to cozy wreaths, every corner is filled with festive joy. A big thank you to our residents, volunteers, and staff for all the hard work that went into making our campus so beautiful and full of Christmas spirit!

Mission Message

Christmas is a time of overdoing it all. Decorations, clothes, gifts, food – all of it is over-the-top! We are celebrating! Even for those who don’t celebrate Christmas, the kindness of wishing someone “Happy Holidays” is a lovely gesture.

Christmas is a season of celebration, giving, hope, and joy

Christmas spirit filled Felician Village as Court, Villa and St. Mary's residents enjoyed wonderful Christmas parties. Festive food, holiday activities, presents, musical entertainment and even a visit from jolly Santa Claus brought much joy and smiles to all residents.

A New Chapter

Congratulations to Terri Herrmann on her recent retirement! We are so grateful for your many years of service and compassionate work. Best wishes for a long, healthy and happy retirement!

FV Leadership Retreat

The Felician Village Leadership Team recently had the opportunity to spend the day at the Felician Sisters' Sacred Heart Chalet in Belgium, Wisconsin for a retreat. The retreat gave our leaders a chance to reflect on our Franciscan Heritage and engage in meaningful conversations about our ministry.

Advent Celebration

Residents and members of Felician Village at Home met for fellowship and dessert which was followed by an advent service filled with many Christmas hymns and readings from the Bible. The Advent celebration was a beautiful opportunity to come together center our hearts and minds on Jesus, the true reason for Christmas.

A Season of Giving

Our residents were blessed this Advent season with poinsettias from Carla and Geof Liban. They personally, along with their granddaughter, Emma, distributed to residents on St. Nick’s Day.

Sheryl, a long-time former employee of Geof’s, received a special surprise.

When she arrived to pick up her flower, she was greeted with a big hug and hello from Geof. She remarked, “It was one of the most special gifts I could’ve gotten—seeing him after we worked side by side for so many years.”

Carla reiterated that she and Geof love bringing some holiday cheer to our residents.

More than 225 flowers have been received by Felician Village residents. Thank you for blessing us!

Happiness is Puppy Cuddles

Winston brought so many smiles to our residents & staff during his visit to Felician Village.

Thank you to our CFO, Shannon, for sharing your adorable, new four-legged friend with all of us.

A very special shout out to Santa's helpers - this amazing group of ladies assembled all the holiday gift bags for Santa to deliver at the resident parties.

The True Meaning of Christmas

In preparation of Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, a LIVE Nativity Play was held in the Blessed Angela Chapel.

Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men, shepherds, angels were brought to life by residents and staff, along with many narrators, to re-tell the beautiful story.

Building sweet memories one wall at a time

FV employees had so much fun taking part in a gingerbread house contest. Almost 20 houses were submitted then voted on by staff, residents and FV visitors.

We have some VERY creative and talented employees. Each one was unique and so well done! It was a great activity to add to the Christmas season.

Oh What Fun!

From December 13- 25 FV employees were invited to participate in holiday dress up days. Some favorites were pajama day, Christmas movie characters, tree topper and ugly sweater.

Gardens Holiday Gala

The Gardens Annual Holiday Gala was spectacular once again!

The afternoon started with a wine reception, then a lovely reading of the Christmas Story followed by a delicious meal prepared and served by the FV Culinary Department. A sing-a-long added a little extra Christmas spirit to the day.

Thank you to the many musical groups who visited our campus

We were so lucky to have a variety of musical groups share their talents with our residents throughout the month of December.

Story Time with Sister

St. Mary's residents enjoyed the book, "The 12 Days of Christmas in Wisconsin," during storytelling with Sister Rosalie. The book was a nice tribute to all things Wisconsin.
