Felician Village News

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas was in the air during the holiday socials at The Court, The Villa and St. Mary's. Festive food and beverages, wonderful entertainment and special gifts for all! Unfortunately Santa was feeling under the weather to make an appearance, but the Felician Village elves took charge and made sure every resident had a gift bag in hand. The smiles and gratefulness on resident's faces sure filled one's heart with so much joy.

A Season of Giving

Felician Village at Home once again adopted a family from the Manitowoc Salvation Army for the holiday season.

Unwrapped gifts for the mother and her three sons were delivered Thursday, Dec. 1 to the Salvation Army. Because of the members generosity, the funds exceeded last year’s donations and this family will feel special Christmas Joy from ‘elves’ of the Felician Village at Home Membership.

Community Dinner

In early December First Presbyterian Church held a free community dinner. Felician Village was proud to be a part of it. A special out to Barb Fricke, the Felician Sisters and Felician Associates for volunteering your time.

Carla's Farewell

Our Director of Mission Integration, Carla Schommer, has been offered the role as Vice President of Mission Integration for Felician Services in Chicago, IL.

In her new role Carla will have the responsibility of overseeing placement of Mission Integration Leaders for senior living, education and social service ministries sponsored by The Felician Sisters of North America. This means she will continue to be involved with Felician Village in her new role. We are proud one of our own will be joining their team.

Congratulations Carla and THANK YOU for all you have for the staff, residents and families at FV!

Gardens Holiday Gala

The Gardens Holiday Gala on December 14 started with champagne and great conversation, followed by a delicious lunch of pecan crusted chicken or beef tenderloin prepared by our FV Culinary Department. Jim Ohlschmidt closed out the event with wonderful entertainment. Thank you to all who attended and to our amazing culinary staff, volunteers and staff!

Sticker Ornaments

In early December Villa residents enjoyed a holiday craft of sticker ornaments. That same week third and fourth graders from Immanuel Lutheran School performed an awesome holiday concert at The Villa.

The children's voices filled The Villa dining room with warmth and energy.

Drawing Game

Court residents had many laughs during their Christmas Drawing Game.

First they were given step by step instructions on how to draw a snowman, a tree with ornaments, and a present with stars, moons and snowflakes with their EYES OPEN. Then, they were BLINDFOLDED and given the same step by step instructions. There were some interesting pictures drawn!

We want to hear from YOU!

Positive reviews from people who have had a positive experience at Felician Village helps us to continue providing great care and services, and helps others, like you, find us and make confident senior living decisions.

Could you take 60 seconds to share your happy experiences in a Google Review?

Deck the Halls!

We are so thankful for Kathy (pictured in the black sweater), along with her three friends, who decorated the Christmas trees at

The Court and The Villa. The trees are stunning!

Kathy's mother, Helen, was a beloved resident at Felician Village who passed away this past year.
