Trick or Treat on the FV Campus

Trick or Treat on the Felician Village Campus!

Thank you to the school children from Bethany Lutheran School, Jefferson Elementary, Birth to Three program and the children of FV employees for trick or treating from St. Mary's, to The Court and The Villa and ending at The Gardens. The smiles on the children's and resident's faces say it all! One of our favorite intergenerational activities each year.

A special shout out to the volunteers who helped and to all those who donated candy.

Mission Message

According to various peak fall colors maps of Wisconsin, we have passed the prime time to view the changing leaves here in Manitowoc.

Homecoming Parade

Felician Village recently took part in the Lincoln High School Homecoming Parade. The FV on the Go was driven in the parade and Felician Village gave away free cookies and hot chocolate.

Monetary donations were collected for the Manitowoc Warming Shelter to give a donation during our Mission & Heritage Week.

The Gardens Family Game Night

Bingo, Black Jack, Roulette, Horse Races, Irish Poker, Prizes, Food, Drinks...there was something for everyone at The Gardens Family Game Night!

Candy Donation

The Paralegal Student Association (PSA) at Lakeshore College coordinated a candy donation drive on our behalf to help with our Trick or Treating event that happened recently.

We are so appreciative of all the candy that was donated! This allowed for more residents to hand out candy when all the kiddos joined us for an afternoon of Trick or Treating.

Felician Sisters Visit Felician Village

We were blessed to have visitors from the General Administration of the Felician Sisters on Thursday, October, 17. The Sisters administer to the needs of each of the Provinces of Felician Sisters around the world. They are stationed in Rome, but are originally from both Poland and North America. They are here to celebrate 150 years of the Felician Sisters being on this continent. Felician Village, established 137 years ago, is the first ministry of the Sisters in North America.

The Sisters enjoyed a wonderful lunch in our Wisconsin Room with fabulous servers. They heard a short presentation by CEO, Luke Schubert and Director of Mission, Barb Spies, OFS. The rest of the time was spent touring the campus, seeing some resident rooms, stopping in to chat with residents during activities, viewing photos in Heritage Hall, and saying prayers for the Sisters in St. Mary’s Cemetery across the street.

Pilgrimage to Assisi

Luke Schubert, CEO of Felician Village, and Barb Spies, OFS, Director of Mission at Felician Village were given the opportunity by Felician Services, Inc., to go on a pilgrimage to Assisi and its surroundings to learn more about the Franciscan Tradition of which the Felician Sisters of North America are a part of.

BOO-tiful Pumpkins

Take a look at these boo-tiful pumpkins decorated by Court residents. We love how this activity brings out the artist in everyone!

Fall Lanterns

St. Mary's residents used waxed paper and leaves to create beautiful fall lanterns.

Mission and Heritage Week

Mission and Heritage Week is a week-long celebration that honors the mission, ministry, and heritage of the Felician Sisters of North America. The week began on October 4th, the Feast Day of St. Francis, and ended on October 10th, the Feast Day of Blessed Mary Angela.

During the week Felician Village had a schedule of events that included a pet blessing, soup and solidarity, Mission Bingo, Spin the Mission Wheel game and a special Mass for Felician Associates.

It's the Little Things

Court resident, Arline, turned 96 years young the end of September. Some fellow residents and staff wore purple that day (her favorite color) in her honor - how special! Happiest of birthdays Arline!

Construction has begun!

Vinton Construction recently began work on the first phase of our project, the patio area at The Gardens. The patio will be an aesthetically pleasing area with ample seating and shade. The next phase, a redesigned and upgraded space in the Wisconsin Room, will begin in 2025.
