Little Cupids Visit The Court

In honor of the Valentine’s Day holiday, Felician Village staff members, Lauren & Megan along with their children, Logan, Hayden and Aubrey, handed out roses and candy to Court residents this past weekend. We don’t know who enjoyed it more, our residents or the kids.

Handmade with Love

Students from Roncalli Schools, Girl Scout troops and FV volunteer, Loryn, made Valentine's Day cards for our residents! They were a great addition to the cookie decorating activity at The Court.

Detour Ahead

Many of us have a map for our lives, a plan we follow that gives us a sense of direction and purpose. Unfortunately, life doesn’t often follow our plans and we end up on detours that we hadn’t anticipated.

100 Years Young

Gardens Resident Ines Lupi celebrated her 100th birthday on February 5th. Soraya, granddaughter to Roselle, the FV Independent Living Manager, has enjoyed visiting with Ines since she was two years old.

On Ines's 100th birthday, Soraya made a special stop to visit her with birthday goodies and hugs!

Felician Village Welcomes CFO

Welcome Shannon Otten as our new VP of Finance and CFO effective, Monday, February 6th.

Shannon comes to Felician Village with a wide variety of experience, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Compliance Officer for Pine Haven Christian Communities, a long term care continuum in Sheboygan Falls.

Shannon’s background is in Finance as well as Operations. Prior to her role as COO, she served as Deputy Director Financial Manager for Sheboygan County Health and Human Services, and as an auditor with the Government and Not for Profit with Schenck. Shannon has a degree in Accounting from Lakeland College.

If you see Shannon around campus, please give her a warm welcome to Felician Village.

Volunteer of the Year Award Nominations

It’s time to celebrate some of the exceptional people who make Felician Village great. This award honors a

volunteer who has made a positive impact at Felician Village and exceeds our

mission, vision and values.

Please take a moment to think of a volunteer you know who has made a

difference and fill out this simple nomination form.

The winner will be honored at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 20th. Employees of FV are not eligible for this award.

Nominations are due March 30th.

New FV at Home Supervisor Announced

We are pleased to welcome Lauren Daun as the new Membership Program Supervisor, effective February 1, 2023.

Lauren will oversee the continued growth & development of the Felician Village at Home program. For some of you, you will remember Lauren as the previous Independent Living Coordinator at The Gardens. She was most recently an Information & Assistance Specialist at the Manitowoc County Aging & Disability Resource Center.

Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Human Development from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 2009. She lives in Manitowoc with her husband and two children.

The Gardens Valentine's Gala

The Gardens Valentine's Gala was filled with love, laughter and lots of great food and entertainment. A perfect way to spend Valentine's Day.

36 Years of Service

A special shoutout to Teresa Enfors who celebrates 36 years of service at Felician Village.

Teresa started in February of 1987 as a CNA and continues in that role to this day. Thank you for your dedication, passion for what you do and all your hard work.

National Pizza Day

Our employees celebrated National Pizza Day on February 9th with a variety of delicious pizzas delivered throughout the day from Pizza Garden. Our human resources department, Liz, Josh and Michael, did a great job serving up slices. Thank you to all of our employees for their hard work and dedication!

Miss Harbor Cities

Thank you Miss Wisconsin, Kylene Spanbauer for taking time to visit with Felician Village residents , Janet and Janice who attended the Miss Harbor Cities & Miss Harbor Cities Teen competition on Sunday, February 19. Congratulations to all of the competitors and new titleholders, it was a great night!

Employee Break Room Updates

Two employee break rooms received a makeover that included fresh paint, flooring, furniture and a coffee and beverage station, along with art supplies.

Our employees are greatly enjoyed the updated space during their break times and lunch.

Felician Village

More than four decades ago, one of many visitors came to tour The Gardens at Felician Village. Deacon Robert (Bob) and Deanna Drobka were considering making a move to a senior living facility, which at that time, was not a common living environment. They toured the campus and while here, Deanna stopped for a remembrance on that beautiful warm day.

“We can only assume dad was the photographer,” their daughter Mary

Peterson said. “By the look of the garden in bloom and the clear blue sky, mom probably wanted a photo taken.” The welcoming garden was a sign of the spirit of Felician Village.

While Mary was going through many of her parents’ treasures, she found this beautiful photo of her mother, “a picture of a picture.”

In Memory of Deanna and Bob Drobka, Mary sponsored the front flower garden at the entrance of Felician Village (1700 S. 18th St.). “Mom loved flower combinations of red and pink, especially geraniums.” When you’re in the area in early summer, be sure to stop and smell the flowers.
