Thank You Engineers and Manufacturers!
We couldn't do it without you!
As we continue production on the generation IV MAT table and head into the next year, a big thank is owed to all the Michigan-based companies helping build this multi-function, 5-in-1 physical therapy table—the MAT table.
Michigan Made
The key player—manufacturing most of the parts and doing all the assembly—is Weber Specialties in Schoolcraft, MI. Holland Stitchcraft, in Holland, MI fabricates the padding and there are several other Michigan companies involved in sourcing high-quality parts for the MAT table.
It's pretty hard to develop and produce a table that morphs like a Transformer.
But we did it. All together.
The MAT table transforms from a table into an exercise machine, a traction table, a tilt table, an inversion table, and can even work as a multi dimensional pulley system.
Expanding Footprint
The MAT table has an expanding footprint from 3 ft. wide by 24 in. high by 6 ft. long, to 85 in. high by 9 ft. long. Luckily the width remains the same.
No trash cans under this table! They will get crushed!
As you can imagine, the MAT a very complicated piece of machinery. To reach this point in production involved more than 30 engineers and fabricators who helped improve functionality and stability over the past nine years. These incredible partners contributed more than 10,000 hours to produce the generation IV MAT table being sold today.
Our Guiding Principles
We have always kept three main objectives in mind:
- Most importantly, that it be safe for patients doing all functions, and easy to use for the therapist.
- To create a useful space-saving table that will not collect dust after purchase.
- To provide a durable machine built to last decades.
Weber Specialties has taken on the important and precise task of manufacturing this table over the past 18 months. They have done an excellent job. Joe and Dan (pictured above) have been key players at Weber, putting in many hours of work; creating a safe and highly reliable MAT table is their focus.
A great big thank you to Weber Specialties and all the companies contributing to the safety and durability of the MAT table.
Yours in Health
-Brian Scherff, Inventor of the MAT Table
