Dr. Patricia Nicholas is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her diplomate at the American Academy of Wound Management was conferred in 2001. She ran multiple successful medical practices on the North Shore of Long Island, New York for the past 20 years. She is currently a Podiatric Physician specializing in non-surgical treatment of the foot and ankle at Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers, FL.

Dr Nicholas is the first minority president and the second woman president of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association (NYSPMA) and during her tenure, she was instrumental in the advancements to the population health agenda. She is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and has chaired the Ethics Committee, Awards and Recognition Committee and Membership Committee, Public Education and Information Committee among many others. She serves as Chair of the Podiatry Committee for the State of New York Workers' Compensation Board. She is an adjunct clinical instructor at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and is Past President of the Caribbean American Medical and Scientific Association.

Dr Nicholas is the Founder and President of Kindest Hearts Foundation, a non-profit organization servicing a rural town in Haiti by providing education, medical care and employment. She is the ultimate optimist, always believing things work out how they are supposed to. Touching people’s lives and improving their quality of life is her main focus.

The ACPM Expert Lecture Series is particularly targeted to students and residents, however, all ACPM Fellows are invited to join and benefit.
