Hi all!
It has been wonderful to be back in the office this week after enjoying some time away from it with my family as our children had spring break. During that time, I was able to not only rest and recover from a worship-heavy week, but I was also able to reflect on the AWESOMENESS of Holy Week at Fellowship Presbyterian Church:
-
Maundy Thursday worship included a powerful experience of reflecting and remembering through hand washing and communion - being able to watch as people came forward to receive elements for the first time in over two years; POWERFUL.
-
Good Friday's worship service was full of thoughtful scripture readings and wonderfully beautiful and rich music. Another powerful mark along the three-day journey.
-
Easter Sunday was FULL - and spirits were high! Worship at sunrise, a breakfast with an international flare, an Easter Egg Hunt in and around the playground found children running and giggling and having fun. Sanctuary worship was filled with Holy Spirit - from the music shared through instrument and voice to being able to present bibles to members of our Fellowship Family...wow.
I still smile and am so incredibly grateful to all who contributed to all of the moving parts that made up the week. They say that ministry is not about the numbers, but to know that over 100 people worshipped at Fellowship Presbyterian Church that Easter morning is overwhelming in the best of ways. I continue to be humbled that I can say that I serve as your pastor - I'm truly blessed.
Worship marches into May (how is it May already!?!?) this Sunday - and with the first Sunday of the month comes communion during worship and the food drive after church. A special 4-week Adult Education series about the hit TV show Ted Lasso also begins this Sunday - no previous experience with the show needed to participate!
I hope to see many of you very soon!
Easter Blessings,
Pastor Kathryn

Wondering what to do with all of those grocery shopping bags? The Missions committee will be collecting “gently used” plastic grocery bags for Backpack Beginnings. Please bring any you don’t use to church with you, leaving them on the Missions table in the Dogwood Lobby closest to the double doors leading towards the classrooms.
