Thank you.
Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for your texts, cards, emails, and calls.
Thank you.
My family and I continue to either test negative or, like me, recover from COVID. I am grateful that, overall, our symptoms have been relatively mild. However, I've been reading in the news that this latest strain is very contagious. With the two-week positivity rate hovering around 20%, I will lovingly remind you to wash your hands and take precautions as you need. One note: the Session continues to be concerned about taking measures to keep the congregation healthy. After discussion at its last meeting, masks will continue to remain optional with social distancing continuing to be encouraged, as well as asking that you worship with us online if you are feeling unwell.

The Talk to the Hand sermon series was fun for the month of July. The Mission Committee is excited to "sponsor" worship for the month of August as we will recognize and celebrate Fellowship's mission partners each Sunday this month. This Sunday, we will welcome Taren Fox and other members of the Applewood Housing Community Council and its neighbors as we recognize the ways that God continues to bring us together. Being that it's the first Sunday of the month, we will celebrate communion and, after worship, collect food for Greensboro Urban Ministry. I look forward to being back with you in worship.

Be well,
Pastor Kathryn

p.s. Now through August 28th, we will collect school supplies for students in the Applewood Community. The list of needs is below. Thanks, in advance, for your support of helping set the students on a ready path for the upcoming school year!

Applewood Community School Supply Drive
For the third year, the Mission Committee is sponsoring a school supply drive for our neighbors at the Applewood Housing Community. Bring items from the list to the church from now through Sunday, August 28. We will bless the supplies during worship on August 28 and distribute to the students that afternoon. If you have questions, please contact Judy Meyler and Mimi Carter from the Mission Committee or Pastor Kathryn.
Fellowship Presbyterian has online giving available through the Presbyterian Foundation.

Volunteer with Applewood, Backpack Beginnings,
and Greensboro Housing Authority!
Fellowship has started an ongoing partnership between Backpack Beginnings, Greensboro Housing Authority, and The Applewood Community. Please contact Mary Howe to sign up: [email protected] or call/text at 336-698-6541. Please click here to sign up.
Wondering what to do with all of those grocery shopping bags? The Missions committee will be collecting “gently used” plastic grocery bags for Backpack Beginnings. Please bring any you don’t use to church with you, leaving them on the Missions table in the Dogwood Lobby closest to the double doors leading towards the classrooms.
