| Summer is always a hard season for us — food donations slow down and so does giving, however hunger doesn’t take a vacation. Despite being a tough time of year, we have some news we’re really excited about. Next month, we anticipate ASG crossing a major milestone: 10 million meals provided to our hungry neighbors since 2015. What started as supplying food for weekend food bags for 65 elementary schools has grown:

A Simple Gesture now delivers food to 59 Guilford County nonprofits.

We set up emergency pantries inside schools across the county.

We added our food recovery program, rescuing thousands of pounds of wholesome excess and short-dated food.

And our SHARE program put a refrigerator in every Guilford County public school, so every child has access to food every single day.
