Connect with Pastor Kathryn

Pastor Kathryn's Coffice Hours return on Monday, September 14. Stop by the Cozy Brew Café on Mondays between 8-10am if you have a question, want to talk about something, or just say "hi" and pray on your way to work!

During her sabbatical, Pastor Kathryn reflected on her weekly rhythms and the need to protect time for study, personal growth, and sermon preparation. She’s now using a more intentional weekly structure shaped by those insights.

Her schedule includes two types of time: cloistered and accessible.

Cloistered time is for focused work or meetings with limited interruptions.

Accessible time is when she’s in the office, visiting Fellowship family members, or heading to appointments. Quick check‑ins are welcome, though she may not always be immediately available. If you'd like to schedule a time to meet, please email her or use this link.

Announcements

Connections to Worship and Community Life at Fellowship Presbyterian Church is a helpful guide to worship, events, and service opportunities happening between now and the end of the year. It even includes dates for your spring calendar! Physical copies are available at the church in the Narthex, Dogwood Lobby, and Office Entry Lobby.

You can also click here to look through it online now!

Four “neighborhoods” – Fellowship’s Small Groups – are forming and are set to begin the week of October 4. Groups are scheduled to meet on Mondays (6pm, in person; 6:30pm online) and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. We will discuss Staying at the Table: Being the Church We Say We Are, by Terri Hord Owens, over six weeks. If you are interested in participating in one of the four groups, please plan to attend next week. If you need a book, they are available to pick up during office hours in the church office for $12 each.

Join the Fellowship Family and FPC mission partner Voices Together Now in the library after worship on Sunday, October 11, until 1pm, for the first of a two-part screening and discussion of the documentary Bad Faith 2026: Christian Nationalism in Power.

Part 1: How Did We Get Here? examines Christian nationalism’s historical, religious, and political roots. Lunch is available for $10 per person.

To sign up and reserve a lunch, please email Mark Kirstner by October 10. The second part of the screening and discussion takes place on November 8.

NOTICE: With Session approval and guidance from the Stewardship Ministry Team, the church has signed a contract with Wesley Community Development, a realty company, to list for lease the church-owned building that formerly housed the Presbyterian Counseling Center. WCD specializes in nonprofit leasing and sales and has a diverse portfolio, including properties of various Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, and other denominations primarily located in the Carolinas, Virginia, and Georgia, as well as the Midwest. If you have questions, please speak with Mark Failla, chair of the Stewardship Ministry Team.
