My heart is FULL with the love, joy, peace, and hope of this Advent season following this past weekend's events:

• Dr. Richard Hodges' concert on Saturday night was rich and dynamic, full of love and beautiful music.
• Our annual Advent service of Lessons & Carols was, once again, a lovely time of word and song, recognizing the ways, throughout the bible, that Jesus's birth and effect on the world were referenced from the beginning of the Scriptures.

Thank you again to Blake, Jeannine, and Cynthia for your leadership, as well as the musicians of both the vocal and bell ensembles, as well as Patrick and John. Each of the Lesson leaders - thank you as well. And how can I forget our first children's choir at Fellowship in, from what I understand, has been quite a long time! Thank you.

As the calendar, advertisements, decorations, and office parties all around remind you, Christmas is not quite here - one more Sunday in Advent, where we will continue to reflect on Joy to the World. I hope to see many of you at 10am in the Sanctuary, whether in-person or online.

Sunday at 3pm provides an opportunity for reflection, contemplation, and prayer with our Guilford Park Presbyterian Church family at Guilford Park. The Longest Night service is a time for those who want to slow down the hectic pace, taking time as well when this season may not be as joy-filled as society wants it to be. I look forward to seeing you at 3pm.

If Sunday is December 21, then that means that Christmas Eve is sooooo close! Be sure to have our 6pm Candlelight and Communion Worship service on your calendar and join us for a lovely tradition with the Fellowship family. Professional childcare will be available, although there are at least some aspects of the service that I know of that children will want to be a part!

My heart is full - I give thanks for you and for the ways you enrich the Fellowship Family. Thank you for being YOU.
