2026 Fellowship Sunday Offering

Supporting MCC Flourish Leadership

Development Programs

4th October, 2026

Fifty-eight years ago, Rev. Troy Perry had a dream and a vision.  A vision of a church where all people could experience God’s love and be welcomed just as they are. Today, that vision has grown into a global movement, sharing God’s inclusive love and working for social justice around the world.

Each year, on the first Sunday in October, we celebrate the vision of Rev. Troy Perry and the ministry that we share as Metropolitan Community Churches. For 58 years, Fellowship Sunday has been an important opportunity for us to come together in generosity, celebrate all that we have accomplished, and invest in the future of MCC.

Together, we honor Rev. Troy Perry’s vision, celebrate our shared ministry, and come together in generosity to build a strong and vibrant future for MCC.

This year, our Fellowship Sunday Offering will support MCC Flourish Leadership Development by helping develop, support, and sustain the clergy and lay leaders who strengthen our churches and carry MCC's mission forward.

Leadership is not built overnight. It is discovered, developed, and sustained through intentional support. Your Fellowship Sunday gift helps today's leaders flourish while preparing the next generation to lead with compassion, integrity, and vision.

Your Fellowship Sunday Gifts at Work

Over the past two years, support for MCC Leadership Development has helped:

  • Provide more than $30,000 USD in scholarships for people from around the world to attend General Conference 2025.
  • Provide more than $15,000 USD to support MCC global network gatherings.
  • Invest more than $25,000 USD in leadership training, including mentoring, conflict transformation, chaplaincy, protesting, anti-racism, and more.
  • Provide more than $12,000 USD in financial assistance for clergy and lay leaders to attend retreats and respite opportunities.

That's more than $82,000 USD invested in these four areas alone, along with ongoing mentoring, spiritual direction, congregational leadership support, and respite support for clergy and churches.

Supporting the Development and Recruitment of New Clergy

MCC Flourish Leadership Development is supporting the REVM North America 2026 and REVM Africa Cohorts by providing scholarships, travel stipends, and training opportunities. Through these investments, we are helping to prepare and equip future clergy to serve the more than 20 MCC churches currently without Senior Pastors, as well as the Emerging Churches and Spiritual Communities forming around the world.

The Difference Your Gift Makes

One MCC leader described the challenge of ministry across the distances that separate us:

“Sometimes it feels like we are doing ministry on islands.”

Gathering with other MCC leaders provided something deeply needed: a place for connection, laughter, support, and renewal. Reflecting on the experience, the leader shared:

“Thank you for investing in us, in our welfare, in our ministries, and

in the network of leadership. As we continue to seek to make a

difference in this world, you make a difference in us.”

Will You Make a Fellowship Sunday Gift Today?

Every gift, of every size, helps MCC create opportunities for leaders to learn, connect, grow, and thrive. Your generosity helps sustain those who are leading today while developing the leaders our churches will need tomorrow.

When you give to Fellowship Sunday, you are investing in the people who will shape the future of MCC.

Together, we Flourish. Together, we lead.

Together, we build the future of MCC.
