Fellowship Directors May 1 Meeting Recap

Close to 35 Fellowship Directors attended the May 1 ASNR-sponsored Fellowship Directors meeting held during ASNR23 in Chicago. ASNR Fellowship Directors Committee Chair, Dr. Ashley Aiken, shared a presentation discussing data regarding ERAS neuroradiology fellowship applications and NRMP fellowship match trends and provided feedback, collected by SCARD, on virtual interviews. ASNR Fellowship Directors Committee Vice Chair, Dr. Mari Hagiwara, discussed the importance of the NR Fellowship Curriculum to NR fellows. The 2023 NR Fellowship Curriculum task force is currently reviewing existing content and will provide updates by September. Dr. Bruno Policeni, ACGME Radiology Review Committee member, shared a presentation and provided updated information regarding neurovascular requirements.

Please send ASNR a list of your fellows! Membership in the American Society of Neuroradiology is available to all neuroradiology fellows at no charge. Please send the fellow's full name, fellowship start/end date and email address to membership@asnr.org. Staff will reach out to assist them in setting up their complimentary ASNR membership. Complimentary membership is available through December 31 of the fellow’s graduation year.

Help Spread the Word About A New Grant Opportunity

Letters of Intent due: June 5, 2023   The Alzheimer’s Association and the Foundation of the ASNR are partnering to offer a new, unique funding program: The Imaging Research in Alzheimer’s and Other Neurodegenerative Diseases Grant. Up to three awards may be funded each year with a budget of up to $200,000 each. The Letter of Intent deadline is June 5, 2023, and all proposals must be submitted via ProposalCentral.
