ASNR Neuroradiology Fellowship Curriculum

The Fellowship Curriculum is free to all ASNR members, and membership is free as a trainee! Last year, the Fellowship Curriculum Taskforce Committee updated the curriculum to include new lectures, organized by level of difficulty (core, intermediate, advanced), with the option to speed up the video content.

New lectures will be added this year from ASNR 2025!

Also new this year: trainees can print a completion transcript for each category. After watching videos or reviewing educational materials, all completed items will be added to a transcript at the bottom of each category’s page. This transcript will update after completing additional materials, so trainees can export an updated transcript at any time.

The Fellowship Curriculum is a wonderful resource and we hope you encourage your fellows to take advantage of it!

**Some ideas regarding how to incorporate the Fellowship Curriculum into your program's curriculum:

  • Consider viewing a lecture together or as a requirement prior to a conference, and then leading a case conference on that topic.
  • Consider incorporating some of the Non-interpretive/Finance lectures and associated articles on Healthcare Policy and Quality and Safety to address the ACGME competencies in these domains.

Don't Forget to Submit Your Fellow Lists to ASNR

ASNR is in the process of receiving fellow lists from neuroradiology programs around the country. So far, we have received lists from over 60 programs. If you haven’t sent us your 2025 list of fellows yet, please email the list to membership@asnr.org.

A Special Note About the Upcoming 2026 Comprehensive Neuroradiology Course

Dear Neuroradiology Fellowship Directors,

I wanted to let you know that the ASNR’s Comprehensive Neuroradiology Course is all set to return in 2026 and to personally invite you to encourage your fellows to attend. This will be our 5th year of holding this three-day course in which we cover the essentials off all things practical neuroradiology, including adult brain imaging, pediatric neuroradiology, head and neck imaging, spine, and advanced imaging techniques. Lectures are from roughly 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day and are given by some of the best educators in our field making this a great place to consolidate knowledge.

Back by popular demand this year is the case submission process which may be of particular interest to our trainees. Designed to fulfill the ACGME requirement for scholarly activity, trainees (or faculty!) are invited to submit an interesting or challenging case along with relevant clinical background and salient teaching points. The accepted cases will be presented at TRUE unknowns to our faculty panel of experts during the meeting and attendees will be able to see the thought process as some of the best minds in our field work through a case they have never seen before. This was a lot of fun the last two years, and really engaging for the registrants.

The course this year will be held January 29-31, 2026, at The Pelican Grand Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The ASNR has done a great job locating a beautiful spot that is easy to access from anywhere in the USA, offers great amenities and has access to the beautiful beach along the coast. It is also reasonable in price to allow trainees to attend without stretching the academic budget. We hope this will make it even easier for all to attend who are interested.

Find all the details at https://www.asnr.org/comprehensive-neuroradiology-course/ If you have questions about the course or the case submission process, please feel free to contact me and I hope some of you may join us as well -- we would love to see you!

Best,

Joshua P. Nickerson, MD, FACR

CNC Course Director
