Reindeer Ornament
On our
facebook page this week, by Nicole LeDrew May
"I did a bunch of silly reindeer with living felt wool!
Here is one of them...Blue
azure and camel
colors if I recall correctly.....
I have so many colors it is hard to remember!"
"I used black
Cross Fast Felting Batts as the base for the headband and felting
gloves, and embellished with bits of light
and darker blue batt wool, and Sun Dyed
Premium Mohair Locks Chinese Turquoise. The flower on the headband
was
also embellished with some matching Swarovski Crystal bicone beads.
I used a combination of needle and wet felting for both projects.
The headband/mitts were only my second
project. I am so excited about felting - seems like there's really
no limit to what
you can do with this stuff... and I just love the idea of the natural-ness
of it - having my hands in the wool.
Makes me want to move to a farm and have sheep... Is there a dating
site for that? LOL"

"...so
my little people are busy creating beautiful things, as requested
I am sending you pictures,
these are of my older son, Dalen (top photos), working on his project
today, he felted little bits to a scarf,
then wet felted it, then sewed it to a piece of cozy fleece. Their
scarves are fabulous
and they had a great time :) thanks for all your help and happy holidays"
