Our wish for you is that you embrace and share
your special gifts. There are those around you that offer
support and encouragement - hear them today,
give yourself permission to feel the joy of doing what you love.
That is a gift to us all.
Lori Parker of Preston, CT created these gorgeous "baby boo
pumkins"
with needle felting. Plan for 1/2 oz to 1 oz of wool depending on size.
Try a core
wool center, natural
white NZ Corriedale for the outer shell,
MC-1™ in dark
chocolate for the stem, and true
olive for the vines.
"It is starting to feel like Fall here in New England already.
As I was going through what was left
of my garden after TS Irene, I found a bunch of baby boo pumpkins that
made it through the storm.
I was insired to make these baby boos! Needle felted from corriedale
and alpaca, I love looking at them on my table!!
Thank you for your wonderful supplies!"
-- Lori Parker , Preston, CT
As
always, we wish you happy felting, and let us know if you have any questions

Now
is the perfect time to start felting scarves!
Get your methods and your practice refined so you can make lovely,
sure to be cherished gifts for friends and family.
Each scarf
such as the ones above require 2.0 - 2.5 ounces of wool,
depending on your choice of density.
Try putting
two tables together for a perfect length scarf, plus plenty of room
for supplies!
You can make two scarves at a time and roll them up at once :)
Other tools
you may need for wet felting:
Pool noodle or closet pole
(pool noodle is better for fine items, closet pole for thicker
more durable items)
Bubble wrap or pool cover
Mesh
fabric or nylon curtain panel
Olive
oil soap or dish soap
(olive oil produces less suds and is easier on hands)
Old towels
Sponge
