Virginia
reports that she used ultra-suede for the body and crown of the hat,
embroidered the blanket stitch around the crown and then attached the
leaves with embroidery and needle felting.
She also offers that ultra-suede can be challenging to sew through..
so you might start with fleece :)
As
always, we wish you happy felting, and let us know if you have any questions
or need any support by emailing us at customer

LIVING
FELT Brand Super Premium CW-1 Core Wool Fiber for needle felting.
You will absolutely love
how quickly and easily this merino-cross core wool needle felts!
The fiber has the perfect crimp and provide a wonderful base for your
needle felting projects.
Many people use this core wool to create base shapes and then overlay
dyed
or bright white wool on top because it is so affordable. This wool
DOES contain vegetable matter
and does have a natural wooly scent. It is not meant as a clean top
surface wool.
We have specially sourced
this fiber for its wonderful quality and supreme needle feltability!
We know you are going to love it as much as we do!
Made in the U.S.A. from
happy sheep raised on U.S. Farms. Farm-Fresh!
Color - Off White / Aged White / Undyed / Unbleached / Natural.

"I started felting when I bought a big bag of wool roving
at a Finnish flea market in Lake Worth, Florida.
With needles and a pad from Living Felt I sat down (in 95 heat!) and
started
making things for friends and family as the whim struck me, and have
been hooked ever since.
My sister and I have always been attracted to/repelled by those
creepy, smiley,
prozaced-out pumpkin-headed boys, so I made her one for Halloween.
Thanks for all your inspiration and your wonderful products."

"Jack was made with medium white merino as a core and merino
top in for the various colors.
Wire was used inside the stem to allow for curling. Jack stands about
5" tall and has a personality all his own!"
