Welcome
to SPRING! Well, I know it's not "officially"
Spring, but we did "spring forward" today, and the trees
out here in Central Texas are beginning to blossom, the squirrels are
scurrying about and the birds are singing more and more...
so it feels like a fine time to grateful
for
new birthings on many levels!
Today
we also celebrate your creative inspirations --
and we thank you for sharing your ideas
and encouragement with each other on facebook and for the blog! Keep
those pictures coming!
As

Rodney
and I had a wonderful time picking these beautiful
mohair locks and visiting the farm. We were greeted by
big beautiful sheep dogs and even got to see a new baby,
not even 1 day old. Watch for our farm trip video coming soon!
Here is a sweet little kid resting in the sun.

Felting a Purse Kit!
This gorgeous
needle felted hat was shared on
the Felting
Friends Blog.
“My husband, Terry
Holtz and I, Dena Kotka-Holtz bought the
Needle
felting foam, 36
gauge felting needles and a felting
needle attachment
for our sewing machine so that we could make felted ”Rocky Mountain
Paca Hats”.
We loved the felting foam that we could shape into sizes we need for
those hard to
reach areas. We have made several of these beautiful “Rocky Mountain
Paca Hats”,
and as soon as we finish one, it gets sold.
I was fortunate enough to have taken photos before they sold.
The “Rocky Mountain Paca Hats” are made from the wool of
our very own
alpacas. I really enjoy making them and coming up with new designs for
each hat.
It feels like a work of art.”
