"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples
then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea
and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have
two ideas." -George Bernard Shaw

We show you step-by-step how to needle felt the purse
around a foam form, and give basic instructions for
wet felting your purse to a beautiful and durable finish!
The
"Deluxe" Needle Felted Purse Kit comes with a
wooden 4-needle
felting tool, or you can try our metal
4-needle tool
which allows for quick-change of the felting needles.
To finish your purse to a durable and smooth surface,
you will want to wet felt it. Consider our imported olive

Fiesta Rooster by Sandy Gossage
of Russell Springs, KY
"Hello Marie and Living Felt Team!
Here is my life size rooster that I created utilizing some Living Felt
Fibers especially for
the special POP of color in his feathers! The body was a needle felted
core ..which
I might add that I used your soy
hat form instead of my other foam because I like how
easy the fibers released from the foam when I changed colors!
Anyway The feathers were wet felted using the Fire
Mountain Designer Pack reds and oranges
left over from the scarf I made last year!! The colors were so vibrant
it was hard
to keep everyone's hands off of him at the recent show he was at!
Carded into the blue feathers was some of the silk
blend from the scarf kit I got
from you last fall.. yet other feathers were wet felted using a water
soluble paper
to give them a stronger base. The longest of the tail feathers were
wet felted over wire
and a few of the feathers were just wet felted.. His skinny legs and
claw feet were created
by winding roving over wire
and then wet and needle felting them for strength.
The corn sprouts were wound rovings over wood dowels with wet felted
leaves .
I enjoyed making him so much and may make a hen to add to the sculpture!
Thanks so much for providing good products for us to use to create at
a reasonable price!!!"
These fun
collections will add zest and vibrance to any project!
Try them (as we do) on special gifts such as: BOOKMARKS,
POST CARDS, NOTE CARDS, ARTIST TRADING CARDS, BOOK COVERS
and any project requiring that "special touch".
Such a wonderful work surface - you'll find
tons of uses form them...like the Georgia Okeefe style flower
on Elizabeth Payne's purse featured on our blog
in February!
Perfect for creating strong, poseable skeletons
for your needle felted sculptures.
