Program Co-Director,
San Francisco Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Senior Services
Benson Nadell brings compassion, curiosity, and decades-long expertise to his role as Co-Director of Felton Institute’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. A federally mandated visiting advocacy program, Ombudsmen are professionally trained staff and volunteers who advocate on behalf of older adults and people with disabilities living in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, board and care homes, and assisted living facilities.

Visitacion Valley Community Hub's 6th Annual Open House

For over a decade, Felton Institute has responded to the needs of Visitation Valley and the Senior Division has focused on the specific concerns of the older adults living in the neighborhood. Providing social, wellness, educational, and intergenerational activities, in collaboration with multiple community partners, Felton has strived to enrich the lives of older adults, adults with disabilities, and their families.

We are honored to receive Certificates of Appreciation and Honor from the San Francisco City and County Board of Supervisors, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, Sheriff Paul Miyamoto, and California State Senator Scott Wiener.
