3rd annual Donate for a Difference
|
The
3rd annual Donate for a Difference is less than 2 weeks away on Thursday, Nov. 1st. Every dollar donated on Donate for a Difference goes directly to CAFES student organizations and judging teams in the form of
Student Activity Impact Grants. These grants support professional development opportunities and other projects proposed by our student groups. The second round of applications just ended and the number of applications was phenomenal. So far, we have provided grants to 14 student clubs a
nd judging teams.
See our power hours for gifts and giveaways to celebrate donors throughout the day, including a UWRF hat/scarf, Freddy's Dairy Bar tokens, gift cards and more! Please also join and share our
Facebook event
. We raised more than $10,000 each year in 2016 and 2017. Together, with alumni support, we hope to raise as much or more in 2018! Your gifts really do make a difference!

In a remarkable coincidence, the coach of that 1995 judging team, UWRF emeritus professor Perry Clark, was there for the award presentation because he was escorting a group from the Netherlands being hosted by UWRF. The next day at World Dairy Expo Perry was able to re-connect with all 4 alumni team members from 1995---Jenny Berg, Reid Stransky, Kelli Tuman and Rebecca Walker (pictured).
