CISA Releases Binding Operational Directive for All Federal Agencies
On October 3rd, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued “Binding Operational Directive 23-01 - Improving Asset Visibility and Vulnerability Detection on Federal Networks” to make progress toward enhancing visibility into agency assets and associated vulnerabilities. This impacts both information technology (IT) or operational technology (OT) assets that are accessible over IPv4 or IPv6 networks. Agencies will have to both track these assets and report this data out. Learn more at https://www.cisa.gov/binding-operational-directive-23-01. Use of Fend’s data diodes to transmit this information can help comply with the directive without opening the door to further compromise.
