Phillips Farms strawberries are here! However, it's tough to know exactly how many we'll have, so be sure to get there early. You'll find all sorts of other seasonal produce at Phillips this week, including

greenhouse tomatoes, asparagus, spring garlic, lettuce, spinach, kale, Swiss chard, scallions, fresh herbs, and even strawberry cider. Pick-Your-Own strawberry season kicks off at the farm this Saturday!

Cabbage Throw Farm baby greens this week include baby chard, spinach, arugula, baby kale, and their signature farmers mix as well as microgreens.

There’s still time to join the 2025 CSA! Memberships can be purchased inadvance by email (cabbagethrowfarm@gmail.com) or online and also in person at markets throughout the month of May. 

New this week will be fennel and romaine this week along with the first beets and carrots of the season! In addition, we have spring mix, spinach, arugula, green and red leaf, kale, chard, parsley, dill, cilantro, choy, carrot, beet, radiah, turnips and scallions!

Our pasture-raised chicken is now available at the market. At Apple Ridge Farm, we provide the highest quality of life possible for our chickens because we care about our birds and know it makes a difference. We raise our chickens out on pasture so they have room to roam, forage for bugs, and snack on fresh grasses and cover crops. In addition to their foraged grub, they enjoy a diet of organic feed we get from a mill in Lancaster.

Try this "Salad Dressing" recipe using our "Garlic" honey & vinegar; or change the honey & vinegar to your liking. This dressing can even double as a marinade for chicken, pork or steak. Plus if you make extra or don't use it all, you can have a salad & a marinated protein.

I’m passionate about offering my customers a unique and memorable taste of France through freshly made pastries and savory delights. Alongside beloved classics like croissants, I love introducing regional French specialties such as Cannelés from Bordeaux, Gâteaux Basques from the Basque Country, Kouglofs from Alsace-Lorraine, Kouign-Amann from Brittany, Galettes Vendéennes from Vendée and Brioché Normand from Normandie. While some of these pastries are lesser-known outside their regions, they are beloved by locals—and absolutely delicious!

These rains are going to bring on the bugs of summer. Might want to pick up a bottle of my Bug Go spray or Bug Go soap. All natural and folks keep coming back year after year for more. If you get Poison Ivy I also have you covered, my Poison Ivy Soap may keep you from getting the rash or it also helps with the itch if you got it already. This soap has what I call the magic ingredient, Jewelweed. A must have if you get poison ivy!
