Course Selection and Registration


2019-2020 Academic Course Selection Process for juniors, sophomores and freshmen will begin next week.  Members of the Guidance Department will be meeting with students to discuss the course selection process.  Students will receive course selection packets in their homerooms at the end of next week which will also include directions on how to register for courses for next year.  The registration site will be open from Wednesday, March 20th to Wednesday, March 27th.    


 Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award
Derek DelVecchio '19


Congratulations to Derek DelVecchio '19 who was selected by the Catholic Central Conference to receive the 2019 Boston Bruins Sportsmanship Award. This prestigious award is presented annually by the Boston Bruins and the MIAA. It is awarded to one individual from each high school ice hockey league in the state who best exemplifies the highest of fair play and sportsmanship. Derek was presented with his award on Thursday at the Bruins game at TD Garden. Congratulations Derek.


2nd Place at French Oratorical Contest 2019
Congratulations to Chloe Padilla '20 for winning 2nd place at the Annual French Language Oratorical Contest on Monday March 4, 2019. She received an honorary certificate and a monetary prize. The contest was sponsored by the Club Richelieu North of Boston and it was held at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. Chloe spoke about the French 20th century poet, Guillaume Apollinaire. She was accompanied by her French teacher, Madame Eromin, and her parents, Teresa and Albert Padilla. Chloe, a Danvers resident, started her French career at Bishop Fenwick after taking Latin at our partner school, St. Mary of the Annunciation School in Danvers. Chloe is presently a top student in French III Honors. Congratulations Chloe!
Make a Difference
this Lent 

Franciscan Hospital and the Children's Closet -donate clothing to two great organizations that honor the care of newborns and infants from difficult environments.   Campus Ministry will be collecting new or gently used clothing outside of the chapel. Click for additional info.

Clean Water Mission - join with the Sisters of Notre Dame to help bring clean water to families in Africa, South and Cental America. Each homeroom will have one "water bottle" to fill with dimes. 

Every dime pays for a water purifier which is shipped and distributed by the Sisters to children and families in Africa, South and Central America. Click for additional info.

Chloe joins the Morning Announcement team during Foreign Language Week.
Morning  Prayers
  Foreign Language Week

Fenwick celebrated Foreign Language Week with morning prayers said in different languages.  The  Our Father was shared by Gabriella Fabiszewski (Polish) and Valantou Papadopoulosin (Greek) with the  Hail Mary  offered by Alicia Ridgley (French) and Chloe Padilla (Philippine).

MIAA Student Athlete of the Month
Cory Bright '19 

Cory Bright '19 was selected as the recipient of the "MIAA Student-Athlete of the Month Award" for December 2018. 

Per the MIAA Press Release, " Cory is a member of Bishop Fenwick's football, basketball and baseball teams. His leadership, charisma, and positive spirit is evident both on and off the field. As the quarterback who holds "just about every single career record for quarterbacks in our school history" or the teammate who supports his peers from the sideline, Cory is a "true champion".
