Dear YMCA Community,
In response to Governor Tim Walz's most recent executive order, the Fergus Falls YMCA will close temporarily on Friday evening, November 20 at 7:00pm and remain closed for four weeks.
While we feel that we have been working hard to create a safe, clean space for you to exercise, we must follow the Governor's plans for a second shut down as we are all in a communal effort to get through this current crisis.
The YMCA will continue to serve the youth participating in after-school care but the YMCA as a fitness center will close temporarily. December membership dues will be drafted and will be converted into a donation. A free membership hold for the month of December is also available. Please scroll down to the boxes below for more information.
As we embark again on a second closure, we urge you to:
- Check in on your loved ones and friends, especially those who may feel the effects of loneliness.
- Stay Active-Visit the YMCA's Facebook page for workouts, health tips, and new recipes to try.
- Do your part to reduce the spread of illness by:
- Wearing your mask.
- Washing your hands with soap and water.
- Staying home and away from others if you are feeling ill.
We understand this is a very concerning situation. The YMCA has been a pillar of the Fergus falls community for more than 52 years, throughout both good and challenging times. We will continue to monitor this evolving situation and will work with local officials to determine what future actions will be necessary.
During this closure, we will provide updates and information directly to staff, members and participants via email. We will also be posting information to our website and Facebook.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we work through this together.
Stay Healthy,
Eric Price
Executive Director
