The country of Haiti has suffered greatly during the last three years due to natural disasters, great political upheaval and unrest, and isolation from outside help due to the pandemic. Educational opportunities for most children have been severely limited or completely shut down since the fall of 2019.

In the midst of all this, Pastor Gabriel, the teachers, and all of the students at the Lutheran school in Orneau (a small village on the southern coast of Haiti) are grateful that they are in a location far away from the turmoil centered in the capitol city; their quiet location allows them to continue with their day school program.

The facilities are simple and school supplies are few, but the leadership team is dedicated to continue to advance their educational plans and share God's love through Bible stories, Bible memory, and song and Hymns about our Savior.

Keep this community of believers in your prayers as the grow in knowledge and skills... and in the realization of God's goodness and grace.
