The Christmas Festival of Lights Opens Friday

The Grotto's Christmas Festival of Lights is just two days away. Opening this Friday, Nov. 25, the annual event celebrates the true meaning of Christmas with music, lights and joy.

Known as the world's largest Christmas Choral Festival, more than 150 choirs will perform over the course of 35 nights in the Chapel of Mary, known for its cathedral-like acoustics. 

There are nightly puppet shows and caroling in the pavilion tent, and music all around the grounds. And don't forget the millions of lights! New this year - a giant, walk-thru Christmas tree.

Volunteers Needed for Festival

The Festival would not take place without our wonderful volunteers. We have both indoor and outdoor positions available. Most shifts last approximately three hours.

Daily recitation of the Rosary at The Grotto will take place everyday, one half hour before each Mass.

Oh, Faithful God, to those who are faithful you promise the crown of eternal life. Give me the grace today, no matter the difficulties in my life, to keep my eyes on the prize of eternal life. The Scripture today reminds me that life can be hard, and I may face persecution, but your Holy Spirit will be with me to give me the wisdom in speaking so my enemies will be powerless to refute me and by my perseverance I will secure my life. Give me the perseverance needed to remain faithful throughout my life. Give me the determination that was given to the martyrs celebrated in the Mass today. I ask this through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
