Esperamos que este mensaje les encuentre bien. 

Como es sabido, Santiago de Cali, reconocida como potencia de la biodiversidad natural y la diversidad humana, ha sido seleccionada como la ciudad anfitriona de la COP16 de Biodiversidad. Este evento de talla mundial se celebrará desde el 21 de octubre hasta el 1ro de noviembre del presente año. Paralelamente, en las mismas fechas, se celebrará en el Colegio el “Festival de la Sostenibilidad y la Biodiversidad”.

La COP de biodiversidad es un espacio internacional para la reflexión, el compromiso y la acción en relación con la conservación de la biodiversidad y los servicios ecosistémicos. También cubrirá temas relacionados con desafíos como la crisis climática, la pérdida de hábitats naturales, la sobreexplotación de recursos naturales, entre otros.

El “Festival de la Sostenibilidad y la Biodiversidad” es una celebración interna del Colegio que tendrá una agenda académica, cultural y ambiental que brindará experiencias de aprendizaje e integración comunitaria en torno a la valoración de la biodiversidad natural y la diversidad humana de nuestro territorio.

Información más detallada vendrá al inicio del próximo año escolar. Vislumbramos que ésta será una oportunidad extraordinaria para ratificar nuestro compromiso institucional con el bienestar de las personas, la sociedad y el planeta.

Dear Bolivar Community,

We hope this message finds you well. 

As you know, Santiago de Cali, recognized for its extraordinary natural biodiversity and human diversity, has been selected as the host city for the COP16 on Biodiversity. This world-class event will be held from October 21 to November 1 of this year. Simultaneously, on the same dates, the "Sustainability and Biodiversity Festival" will be held at Colegio Bolivar.

The COP on biodiversity is an international space for reflection, commitment, and action in relation to the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem services. It will also cover topics related to challenges such as the climate crisis, the loss of natural habitats, and the overexploitation of natural resources, among others. 

The "Sustainability and Biodiversity Fest" is an internal celebration in our school that will have an academic, cultural, and environmental agenda that will provide learning experiences and community integration around the value of the natural biodiversity and human diversity of our territory.

More detailed information will be sent at the beginning of next school year. We envision that this will be an extraordinary opportunity to ratify our institutional commitment to the well-being of our community, society, and planet.
