Sixth Day within the Octave of Christmas

Loving God, through St. John, you reminded us today to love you and that “whoever does the will of God remains forever.” Thank you, God, for giving us the opportunity to serve you and to love you. Lord, may we continue to set our hearts only in you and serving you. Forgive us for the times when we pay too much attention to the things of the world. May your Son, who was born for us, also dwell in our hearts, to help us set everything else aside but to love and to serve you throughout our lives. May you also send your Holy Spirit to journey with us in our days that we may pay more attention to your will. Lord may your will be done in our lives.

Amen.
