Loving God,

On this fifth day of Christmas, the Gospel reading tells of the presentation of the child Jesus at the temple, according to the law of Moses. The devout man Simeon recognized the child as your anointed one, who would bring salvation to the world. Open my eyes and my heart this day, that I, too, may recognize the light of Jesus in others.

Amen.

Festival Information

The Grotto's Christmas Festival of Lights will continue tonight, with the closing night tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 30. This annual event celebrates the true meaning of Christmas with music, lights and joy.

More than 150 choirs have performed over the course of 31 nights in the Chapel of Mary, with its cathedral-like acoustics.

There are nightly puppet shows and caroling in the pavilion tent, and music all around the grounds. And don't forget the millions of lights, including our giant, walk-thru Christmas tree.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for SnowCap.
