Stockton Avenue Art Stroll, El Sobrante Stroll, Laurel Park Festival, Coastal Cleanup
Join me for these fun West County community events
September is packed with a variety of great community events, including the Stockton Avenue Art Stroll, El Sobrante Stroll, Laurel Park Festival, and Richmond Shoreline Coastal Cleanup. I hope you'll join me in enjoying the neighborhood and volunteer spirit of these events.

Stockton Avenue Art Stroll: Friday, September 13, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., upper Stockton Avenue business district, El Cerrito. Art, music, food. Check here for more.


El Sobrante Stroll: Sunday, September 15, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Music, food, classic car show, and parade( starts at 11 a.m.); along San Pablo Dam Road, between El Portal Drive and Appian Way. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. 


Laurel Park Festival: Sunday, September 22, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Abraham Braxton Park, South 50th Street and Plaza Way, Richmond. Live Blues Festival featuring Fillmore Slim; carnival games, BBQ, special "Shoe Box" drop for shoe donations for Richmond homeless. Bring your new or gently used shoes! For more 510-233-0777.  


Coastal Cleanup Richmond Shoreline: Saturday, September 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., meet at Shimada Friendship Park at Marina Bay Parkway at SF Bay. Note: Detour due to construction, see this map.  Supervisor Gioia's annual Coastal Cleanup, with free healthy lunch for volunteers at noon. Register here (optional).
