Farewell message from the President
by Maureen Zumwalt

This is my last message as President of MRW - we'll soon be turning the reins over to Charli Thyne's capable hands. As I've never been fond of "goodbyes," I'm going to say "thank you" instead.
Thank you for giving me the honor of serving as your President. It has been a wonderful experience, and I treasure all the friendships that have developed through MRW. Thank you for being so supportive in all that we tried to do in the past several years. Thank you for all the many and varied ways YOU make MRW the best club in North Carolina and one of the best in the country. You are awesome patriots!
The past two years have seen some great successes - the incredible 2022 election, in which North Carolina and Moore County had some rip-roaringly great conservative wins, and of course our past year's municipal elections.
We have a huge challenge in front of us for 2024 - but I am positive that MRW will once again play an instrumental role in electing conservatives to all the key positions, especially President of the United States, and helping to turn our nation around.
May God bless you, and may He bless America!
Maureen

Laying Wreaths Across America: Dec. 16 | |
|
Moore Republican Women once again did a great job of encouraging our members to sponsor wreaths to put on the graves of military veterans.
This year, we added another site - the Seven Lakes Cemetery, which was sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans of America in Moore County, and will decorate 60 veterans' graves.
Instead of traveling all the way to Fayetteville to lay wreaths, the way we have done in the past, we will be going to the cemetery in Seven Lakes. The Seven Lakes ceremony begins at 10:00 am on December 16, and all are welcome to help lay the wreaths.
Seven Lakes Cemetery
340 MacDougall Drive
West End, NC
If you wish to carpool with others who are going, meet at the GOP HQ at 9:00 a.m. and we'll drive over together.
Of course, if you prefer to lay wreaths at the Sandhills Veterans Cemetery in Fayetteville, the ceremony begins at noon.
THANKS to everyone who sponsored a wreath to honor one of our heroes!
