Our nation was found on the idea of self-governance. The government was created to preserve liberty, so that Americans can freely pursue their dreams. However, over time the government has added laws regulating nearly every aspect of our lives. We must roll back regulations constraining farmers, teachers, and business owners. Although the liberal media has not discussed all of Republicans' achievements, I am happy to report that Congress has deregulated the economy since the President was sworn into office.
In addition to the historic tax reform we passed last year, Republicans have rolled back regulations making it easier for businesses to thrive. This year the House passed a bill to help small banks to expand and place money back into the economy by allowing them to lend more to businesses and consumers. One of the House's greatest achievements was passing 15 pieces of legislation under the Congressional Review Act so that more federal regulations will be evaluated and revised to limit the federal government's role in our lives.
We've already begun to see the benefits of deregulation. According to the House Committee on Small Business, regulations place unnecessary burdens on small business owners by causing them to spend thousands of dollars. Specifically, a start-up company will spend about $83,000 in regulatory costs. Since the President and Congress have made regulatory reform, fewer businesses are now citing regulatory costs as one of their greatest burdens.
Your support has made it possible for the President and Congress to shrink the size of government. Please help me to promote freedom and economic development by visiting www.vickyhartzler.com to contribute $100, $50, or $25 to my campaign. Together we will restore the American Dream to all parts of America by bringing regulatory relief to businesses.
