January 2016

Hours of Operation:
10 am to 5 pm, Mondays and Tuesdays,
Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Closed Sundays and Wednesdays.

Its time to look back on our achievements of 2015 and look forward to the blessings of a New Year.  We were so fortunate to have the help and support of our friends and customers as we transitioned to our new location in mid 2015.

Now we are putting the finishing touches on the expansion, so we now occupy the entire building at 137 N. Broadway. We hope you will stop in and see us in the heart of the Old Town Artist Village!

We are also so grateful to the Berea Arts Council and City of Berea for the improvements to our little park. Next time you are in the area look for Breezy and Rusty, the new sculptures.

What will you do differently in 2016? Maybe this is the year to break your old color habits, or try out a different fiber blend, or even explore a new heritage skill entirely! There are so many ways to express your creativity, play with color and texture to invent something that is pleasing to the eye and the hand. Big needles, small needles, hooks or looms - these tools and more can open new avenues of artistic endeavor. Let us know how we can help.

Sever al new techniques go into this  hat and the result is spectacular. Bring your H or J hook (or purchase at the store) and two small buttons.  The class fee is $20 plus the cost of the pattern ($5.00) and your yarn selection.

Later that day she'll offer spindle spinning at  1:00, and wheel spinning at  3:00. The fee for these classes is $20 each, plus the cost of fiber depending on your choice.

Spinning Day
Saturday, January 9
2:00 - 5:00 pm

Bring your spindle or wheel, or just come hang out. Did you get a new spindle for Christmas? Bring it along for show and tell. Did you get a beautiful braid of spinning fiber? Come show that off too!  Did you use your handspun for a project? We'd love to see it!

Count on some refreshments and lots of great conversation in our NEW spinning area! More chairs, more room for your wheel.

We continue to help friends rehome some fiber equipment. If you know of someone who is looking for an entry level spinning wheel, looms or an antique sock machine please let us know and we will put you in touch with the sellers.

Interested in machine knitting? A friend of the shop has a Swiss made
Passap 6000 electronic knitting machine for sale. Let us know if you are interested and we will put you in touch.

Remember to call before you come on days of inclement weather. You can reach us at  859-986-3832 . We will put closing notices on our Facebook page.
Stay safe this  win ter!

Better to stock up on project supplies ahead of time!
