As a new member of FiberLight, I'm excited to share my thoughts. The journey since joining has been remarkable.
From the very beginning, I had the opportunity to sit down with FBL team members during our "Meet and Greets." These sessions provided me with invaluable feedback and a deep understanding of FiberLight's past and its future direction. What stood out to me was the distinct open communication with individuals in various roles across the company. In my past experiences, many roles and teams operated in isolation, solely focused on individual advantages. To emphasize, it was indeed refreshing.
In my initial days, my primary focus was on building a team of eight. This was a significant endeavor that put considerable stress on our systems. I must express my gratitude to Becky for her guidance and Nely Mendoza's support in creating and extending job offers. The onboarding process for myself, the Academy, and our new team members was seamless. Additionally, in the IT department, Sean O'Brien collaborated with Derin to identify approved headsets for our inside sales team and swiftly set up and shipped eight laptops. 💻💻💻💻💻💻💻💻
Throughout the process of hiring and onboarding, I also worked closely with Candice Johns to develop a comprehensive, multi-day sales training program. I put together the initial framework, even on short notice, and Candice expertly refined it, making it both concise and visually appealing. 🙌🤝
In parallel, I found consistent support from Paul Neale, who provided valuable marketing insights for utilizing my team more effectively. John Ferguson was quick to assist in generating the initial data, which Meredith Vandeford then helped convert into a resource for our Inside Sales team to find new business opportunities.
Recently, Tonya and I had the opportunity to involve Erin Edge and Noah Bagby, showing my team how to utilize FiberLight's tools in their daily work and fostering communication avenues. Bart Rogers took time to guide everyone through DealHub, followed by Q&A sessions and ongoing assistance to address learning curve challenges and system issues. Rustin Kormos and the team dedicated time to provide a more in-depth personal walkthrough of 3GIS.
I could continue with this story, as anyone in sales knows I can keep going indefinitely without material.🤣🚀
What stands out in this experience is the consistently generous response from everyone I've interacted with: "How can I help?" This sense of unity and teamwork has been evident not just in my experience as a new hire but also within my team, who are even newer. It's this collective mentality that defines a company ready to effect positive change.
I can genuinely say that I've never been happier with a career decision than the one I made to join FiberLight.
