Quarterly Reports Coming Soon
Can You Believe It? 1st Quarter of 2018 is Wrapping Up!

First Quarter Reports will be emailed to each city by mid-April. Reports highlight program activity during the first three months of 2018. Please contact the Heritage Home Program at hhp@clevelandrestoration.org with questions.
We would love to discuss additional marketing opportunities with you as well. Remember that construction season begins in Northeast Ohio as soon as the weather breaks (whenever that is...)!

Getting Your Porch Spring-Ready

It may not feel like it's Spring - but we're all itching to use our beloved outdoor spaces!
Here are a few simple tips to transition your porch from winter to warmer months. Proper maintenance and care will help to keep these
character-defining features in pristine condition.
  • Completely empty the porch. Sweep and lightly mop or hose the floor surfaces to remove salt and other residue from the porch floor.
  • Remember to keep plants elevated above the wood deck, allowing water to flow along the porch grade and into the yard. Eliminate opportunities for water to sit under the pots and deteriorate floor boards.
  • Remove all screens and wash windows on enclosed porches to brighten up the space.
  • For assistance in assessing structural repairs or other maintenance issues, feel free to contact the Heritage Home Program to schedule a free site visit! To schedule, call Yasmin at 216-426-3103 or Charles at 216-426-3107.

Longfellow School Redevelopment
RFQs due April 27

The Cleveland Restoration Society is facilitating the RFQ/RFP process to select a firm for the redevelopment of the historic Henry W. Longfellow School and property in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland. In addition to the 50,000 SF school building, the opportunity also includes a three acre, clean development site located just south of the East 140th Street exit from the I-90/OH2 Shoreway.
The Longfellow school is a designated City of Cleveland Landmark and is eligible for Ohio Historic Preservation and Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credits.

Information about the building and site, along with the RFQ response requirements are included in this RFQ document.
The deadline for RFQ responses is 5:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018.
