Houston, TX - Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to announce that HNTB, a contractor of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority will be performing field work along Northpark Drive  on Wednesday, February 19, weather permitting. The scope of work includes the contractor drilling soil borings, which are needed as part of the design process for the Northpark Drive Overpass project. The work is anticipated to be completed by Thursday, February 27th. 

HNTB crews will be on site beginning this Wednesday, February 19 through Thursday, February 26th. Construction activities will take place only during the daytime Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and only overnight Sunday through Thursday between 7:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. When the contractor begins nighttime operations on Sunday there will be a single lane closure, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

A s a result of the construction activities, please be aware of flagmen and orange traffic cones that will be put in place on site to help with traffic flow through the construction zone as temporary lane closures are expected.  Residents will have access to driveways and sidewalks at all times, and may experience an increase in noise levels due to trucks and equipment in the area.
