Students will be transported to and from the field trip via school bus. The field trip will be chaperoned by GMYS teachers and staff only. Parents are not permitted to attend or chaperone.

We will be back at camp no later than 12:30 pm. Morning drop off and afternoon dismissal procedures will remain the same as any regular camp day. We will still be providing lunch and snack as normal, and students are allowed to bring their own lunch/snack as usual.

If we have not received your permission to transport authorization, you have already received an email from us requesting it. If you do not return the signed and completed permission to transport authorization, your student will not be allowed to attend the field trip.

This field trip is only for students who have COMPLETED Kindergarten through 5th grade in the 2022-2023 school year. If your student completed 6-8th grade in the 2022-2023 school year, their field trip will be on July 6.

• Exploratory Strings, Exploratory Band, Preparatory Strings, and Young Mozarts DO NOT bring your instrument to camp - you will not need it that day! Advanced Concert Band and Strings Orchestra (Ms. Iglesias) will still have rehearsal and need to bring their instruments.
• GMYS camp shirt - students will be receiving their camp shirts on Wednesday and MUST wear them on Thursday for the field trip.
• SOCKS are required to jump! Wear comfortable clothes that you can jump around in. If your student chooses to wear a skirt, they should wear shorts underneath.
• Water bottle (as always)
• Camp ID badge is REQUIRED to attend the field trip!

If you do not want your student to attend the field trip, please email camp@gmys.org. If your child will not be attending the field trip, they will have to stay home from camp that day because all of their teachers will be chaperones on the field trip.

Los estudiantes serán transportados hacia y desde la excursión en un autobús escolar. La excursión será acompañada únicamente por maestros y personal de GMYS. No se permite que los padres asistan o acompañen.

Estaremos de vuelta en el campamento a más tardar a las 12:30 pm. Los procedimientos de entrega por la mañana y salida por la tarde seguirán siendo los mismos que cualquier día de campamento regular. Seguiremos brindando almuerzo y merienda como de costumbre, y los estudiantes pueden traer su propio almuerzo/merienda como de costumbre.

Esta excursión es solo para estudiantes que hayan COMPLETADO el jardín de infantes hasta el quinto grado en el año escolar 2022-2023. Si su estudiante completó el grado 6-8 en el año escolar 2022-2023, su excursión será el 6 de julio.

• Exploratory Strings, Exploratory Band, Preparatory Strings y Young Mozarts NO traiga su instrumento al campamento, ¡no lo necesitará ese día! La Banda de Concierto Avanzada y la Orquesta de Cuerdas (Sra. Iglesias) todavía tendrán ensayo y necesitarán traer sus instrumentos.

• ¡Se REQUIERE una credencial de identificación del campamento para asistir a la excursión!

Si no desea que su estudiante asista a la excursión, envíe un correo electrónico a camp@gmys.org. Si su hijo no asistirá a la excursión, tendrá que quedarse en casa y no ir al campamento ese día porque todos sus maestros serán acompañantes en la excursión.

Chamber Music Series in Miami & Ft. Lauderdale

Cool down and enjoy enchanting sounds with three exciting programs of chamber music in May, June and July. Summer with the Symphony kicks off on May 19th and 19th, with an intimate evening featuring piano trios by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Turina. Share bubbly and sweet treats with the musicians after the performance (included with ticket).
