The 2020 Virtual Annual Conferences
are over and we are grateful for all the efforts everyone made to make this novel meeting a success! We had record attendance in all the annual conferences and visitors from all across the connection!

Justice Weekend – August 28-30

Faith in Action Alabama is declaring the entire weekend of August 28-30 as Justice Weekend in commemoration of the 57th Anniversary of the historic March on Washington led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We want our churches to promote social justice and emphasize voting !!! Please register now at http://bit.ly/fiaajusticeweekend by August 24th and you will receive links to a webinar and other resources focused on scriptures for teaching and preaching on Justice Weekend.

  • Minister Annie Myles (local preacher, Powers Chapel) made her transition in July.
  • Mrs. Deborah Henson (first lady, Isom Memorial, Ocala, FL) made her transition in July.
  • Rev. Margaret Boudreaux (Birmingham District) lost her son, Xavier.
  • Rev. Catherine Bing (Tuscaloosa District) lost her father.
  • Rev. Velma Thomas (pastor, St. Paul, Jacksonville, AL) lost a brother.
  • Mrs. Meadow Walker (first lady, Bethel CME, Sarasota) lost her brother.
  • Mrs. LaWanda Yearwood (first lady, Mt. Carmel, Adamsville) lost her mother.

Please keep Mrs. Jacqueline Best, the entire Best family and the Ninth Episcopal District in prayer as they grieve the loss of Bishop Bobby R. Best, the 61st bishop of the CME Church
