Fight ON!!! 3/18/25
Matthew 13:24-28 (KJV)
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Preacher, you just stated a “mouthful,” the OBVIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

satan NEVER sleeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To again restate the OBVIOUS:

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
When does our enemies, (AND loved ones/friends), do the most damage??
Is it not under the cover of darkness???
Is it not when we least expect it?? Is it not from those whom we most trust???

EVERYBODY desires and needs INTIMACY:
“Intimacy refers to the state of being close and familiar with someone, often involving personal or private relationships. It can also describe a deep emotional connection where individuals share personal thoughts and feelings.”
My, sadly, understanding is that INTIMACY is WONDERFUL, “IF AND WHILE” one remains intimate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, “Heaven help you,” IF AND WHEN you no longer are............................................
An aged friend of mine remarked to me many years ago this:
NEVER TELL YOUR “BRETHREN” YOUR DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS!!!!
He uses the 12th son of Jacob as his example:

5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
And we all know the “rest of the Story!!!!”
I say/write all this, NOT as a negative, but a positive and encouragement-an ENCOURAGEMENT to get IN the fight and FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When things are going well and WE want to take our foot off the gas and coast.............
TAKE HEED-GET YOUR GUARD UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus PROMISED we all this:

IF TODAY YOU find yourself embroiled in a battle NOT of your choosing and/or desire, please note and understand what James was trying to tell YOU AND ME:

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
That TRIAL, that fight, that aggravation, that irritation is there SIMPLY to “get yo dander up and FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Proverbs 24:33-34 (KJV)
33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
AND in that same Chapter Solomon writes:

AND:

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
