COVID-19 Update
Creating safe environments for work, schools, businesses and other gathering spaces is paramount moving forward. At DAC, we are looking at the best ways that HVAC systems can protect occupants. Our first recommendation is to install Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization. We have dedicated this issue of Fresh Air to the education of our customers on all aspects of Bipolar Ionization. We have worked with most types of HVAC purification and find this technology to be most effective in handling any pathogens.
Adding Bipolar Ionization Makes a Safer Workplace Design
Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization
Needlepoint bipolar ionization (NBPI) can be installed in existing or new HVAC equipment. This type of technology is a simple addition to most any HVAC system. It does not involve increasing system pressure, adding fans, up-sizing filters, or making large changes to air handlers or duct work. It is also the one of the safest ways to treat air in the space.

Increasing Filter Efficiency with Bipolar Ionization
Bipolar Ionization by GPS
Bipolar Ionization technology produces positive and negative ions that travel with the supply air into the space. In the space, theses ions cause particles (like dust, dander, pollen, bacteria and virus) to attract and stick together (agglomeration). This action significantly increases the effectiveness of existing filters. MERV 8 + GPS = MERV 13
