KVMR Lightbox
Welcome Jeff Pope!
T hanks to everyone who has stopped by to welcome me during my first week here as Interim General Manager. This place--your station and community--is amazing.

I'm honored to support KVMR during this time of transition to new leadership with Ali Lightfoot starting in May.

During my first hour on the job, I followed Buzz onto the upper roof to learn how to turn off the generator alarm. Then things got interesting. I met broadcasters on  KVMRX and KVMR, sat in on two committee meetings, got a tutorial on the regional mining history and the founding of the station and found the best
coffee in town.

I also learned that we ended 2018 with a stronger-than-usual end-of-year appeal--thanks to all who gave. If you missed it, give on-line today or put something aside until the winter drive: coming right up
February 10th through the 17th.

The creative energy generated by the volunteers at community radio stations is a beacon. KVMR is no exception: it's work is critical to the life and culture of Nevada City and the region. That's been true for more than 40 years. And with your support--your talent, input, leadership--it will be true for the next generation.

I appreciate being asked to play a small role in it all -  Jeff Pope
