BOZEMAN DOC SERIES:

DAHOMEY

The African kingdom of Dahomey, which ruled over its region at the west of the continent until the turn of the 20th century, saw hundreds of its splendid royal artifacts plundered by French colonial troops in its waning days. Now, as 26 of these treasures are set to return to their homeland—now within the Republic of Benin—filmmaker Mati Diop documents their voyage back.

CURRENT EXHIBIT:

Made For These Times

by Ophelia Easton

This body of work is about how it feels to be a young woman, born in the

windblown plains of North Central Montana, facing an era of great change

and pressure from all sides. It is about survival, saying ‘hell no,’ and

standing up for what I love.

Thank you for supporting the Emerson and our mission to build community through art and culture!
