Stedman Families,
We have reached the finish line in our journey of the 22/23 school year! I am so proud of our students, families, and staff for what we've accomplished this year and look forward to all that's to come.
This week we celebrated our continuating students, with extra tears for our 5th Graders who now embark on a new journey in middle school. We are proud of all that they've learned and experienced here growing together over the years. We know they leave us with skills steeped in our values of inclusion, community, diversity, and equity. These young leaders are poised to change the world! Enjoy some photos and video clips from the ceremonies below:
Please be sure to check back on our details for the 23/24 school year. We're excited for another great year. We have created a Stedman calendar for your convenience and have added all the dates that we know of so far. Please remember that our hours have shifted for next year - Stedman will start at 9:10am and end at 4:10pm for the 23/24 school year.
Don't forget that you have through the weekend to pre-order your school supplies if that was an option you wanted to take advantage of. See below for details on how to do that!
Our ever-growing Lost & Found items will be donated this weekend, please be sure to pick up any of your items before 2pm today.
Look for details about Online Registration later this summer, it typically opens back up in late July.

I am happy to announce that we will have a Principal Resident here at Stedman next year to support the important work we are doing. Robbin Trotter is a highly experienced educator and leader, and I know she will be a valuable part of our team. In addition, I am happy to announce that Jani Martinez will be stepping into her new role as Assistant Principal. Many of you already know Mrs. Martinez as she's worked in our Spanish Immersion program for several years and has helped us grow and improve our young program. We wish Adrienne Lopez all the joy as she transitions to become the Principal of Polaris.
Me complace anunciar que tendremos un residente principal aquí en Stedman el próximo año para apoyar el importante trabajo que estamos realizando. Robbin Trotter es una educadora y líder con mucha experiencia, y sé que será una parte valiosa de nuestro equipo.  |  | Hello Stedman community! My name is Robbin Trotter and I will be serving as your Learn to Lead Principal Resident for the 2023-2024 school year. I am a mother of two, grandmother of two, woman of faith and native of Denver, Colorado (more specifically the Far Northeast community). My journey as an educator began over 15 years ago and I have taught all grades K-5 in both Orlando Florida and Denver Colorado. I’ve held various leadership roles such as grade level chair, instructional coach (literacy and math), Senior Team Lead/Interventionist, Assistant Principal and now Learn to Lead Principal Resident. I am an advocate for educational equity and I am most passionate about closing opportunity gaps and creating opportunities to ensure the success of ALL students. Through my educational experiences I have been able to support students and families from many different cultures and backgrounds. These experiences have helped mold me into the leader I am today. They've also taught me many valuable lessons around intercultural diversity, equity and inclusion in our classrooms and the significance of children being able to show up as their authentic selves and not lose sight of who they are in order to fit into an educational system or box. I believe in the power and beauty of creating unique experiences for all students and look forward to our journey together as learners.
¡Hola comunidad Stedman! Mi nombre es Robbin Trotter y seré su residente principal de Learn to Lead para el año escolar 2023-2024. Soy madre de dos hijos, abuela de dos hijos, mujer de fe y nativa de Denver Colorado (más específicamente de la comunidad del extremo noreste). Mi viaje como educador comenzó hace más de 15 años y he enseñado a todos los grados K-5 tanto en Orlando Florida como en Denver Colorado. He ocupado varios roles de liderazgo, como presidente de nivel de grado, entrenador de instrucción (alfabetización y matemáticas), líder de equipo senior/intervencionista, subdirector y ahora residente principal de Learn to Lead. Soy un defensor de la equidad educativa y lo que más me apasiona es cerrar las brechas de oportunidades y crear oportunidades para garantizar el éxito de TODOS los estudiantes. My name is Olga Martínez but everyone calls me Jani. I’m from Puerto Rico. I have worked as a Spanish teacher for over 15 years (5 at Stedman). I have been a Senior Team Lead, Biliteracy Content Lead, and Interventionist. I’m a dedicated teacher and it is a wonderful opportunity for me to teach my native language. I love working with this community and supporting our students for success. Stedman has been my home and I’m so proud to be part of it! I look forward to working hard for you as your next Assistant Principal.
