2020 Regents' Awards Nominations
FINAL WEEK TO SUBMIT A NOMINATION
The Division of Research and Economic Development is pleased to accept nominations for the following awards through September 25, 2019:
The Nevada Regents’ Awards for Creative Activities >> are presented annually to two full-time NSHE faculty members with distinguished records in creative activity. One award will be selected from nominations from UNLV, UNR, and NSC. One award will be selected from nominations from CSN, GBC, TMCC, and WNC. Recipients must be nominated for this honor, which carries a $5,000 stipend. Candidates must have five years of cumulative service in NSHE at the time of the nomination.
The Nevada Regents’ Researcher Awards >> are presented annually to two NSHE faculty members at UNLV, UNR, or DRI with a distinguished record in research. Recipients must be nominated for this honor, which carries a $5,000 stipend. Distinguished Career Researcher candidates must have 10 years of cumulative service in NSHE at the time of the nomination and Mid-Career Researcher candidates must have five years of cumulative service in NSHE at the time of the nomination.
The Nevada Regents’ Rising Researcher Awards >> are presented annually to three NSHE assistant professors; one from each institution of UNLV, UNR, and DRI for early-career accomplishments and the potential for advancement and recognition in research. Recipients must be nominated for this honor, which carries a $2,000 stipend.

NASA EPSCoR Solicitations To Be Announced Soon
2020 NASA EPSCoR Rapid Research Response (RRR/R3)
Jeppie Compton - the National Project Manager for NASA EPSCoR - has announced that new R3 solicitations may be posted as soon as September 20th. NSHE SPO/EPSCoR will make an announcement as soon as any R3 solicitations are officially released.
The National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR), November 11-15, Santa Fe, NM. This program is geared towards training biologists (undergraduates, graduates and researchers) with minimal or no bioinformatics experience. Space is limited.
