, is just around the corner. We are excited!
Read further for more information, but here are already the top 10 reasons to support Sahaya Walks.
- You give HIV-infected children a future by providing them with access to life-saving medicines and better nutrition. Click here to meet the kids and learn how far a few dollars reach.
- We also celebrate Sahaya International's 20th anniversary! Celebrate Sahaya's motto "An act of kindness inspires, be a drop that creates a ripple". Each of us can be such ripple!
- Even if you are unable to attend the event, you can make a difference by making a tax-deductible donation or create an easy fund-raising page. As we are volunteer-based, 100% of your donation goes to support the kids. Every dollar helps.
- Enjoy delicious food, including South-Indian food donated generously by Preethi Indian Cuisine, Davis.
- Meet and befriend amazing people, of all ages, young and old.
- Enjoy a dynamic cultural program, with Vinita Domier as MC and featuring presentations, Indian songs and dance. Get to see video and pictures of some of the beneficiaries in India.
- Free fun activities, like face-paint, origami and games.
- Walk one of the most scenic streets in Davis on a beautiful autumn day, in a 10-minute walk.
- Be a part of our Sahaya family.
-
You'll leave the event feeling happy and inspired.
For all these reasons, and many more,
Sahaya International, International House Davis, and our partner organizations cordially invite you to our 13th annual event.
Sahaya Walks 2019
Sunday October 13, 1 to 4 pm
at International House Davis
Registration and fundraising has started
Sahaya Walks is an annual educational & fundraising family event that provides an opportunity for people of all ages -young and old- to make a difference in the lives of 35 HIV-infected children and youth in our programs in India, by providing health-care, education, shelter and food.
There will be delicious Indian food (offered by Preethi Indian Cuisine), a cultural program with music and dance, short presentations, fun activities (including face-painting, crafts, fun games), and a 10-minute walk. We will share our hopes for an AIDS-free future.
Come celebrate that YES, we can make a difference!
As Sahaya International was founded in 1999, we will use this Sahaya Walks event also to celebrate our 20th anniversary!

| Children and youth who benefit directly from Sahaya Walks |
All proceeds go to Sahaya's programs that provide health and a future to 35 HIV-infected children and youth in India. Thanks to our previous events, we have not lost a single child because of HIV/AIDS in 13 years. Several of the first kids who enrolled in our program nearly 15 years ago are currently in college and recently 5 of them have completed their college degree. Two of them are currently staff at our partner organization READ to assist with the orphan support programs and have start a special HIV+ youth club to organize extra skill-building activities. One of the HIV+ children who joined our program 15 years ago grew up, completed college, got married and recently give birth to a healthy baby boy! This is all a reason to celebrate.
or click the button below to register, create an easy fundraising page, or contribute. Our goal is to raise $15,000. Can you help? Every contribution makes a difference.

1:00 PM:
