At a Special Meeting on February 19, 2024, the Fremont RE-2 Board of Education interviewed selected candidates and named four finalists for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  

The finalists are: 

Christopher Burr, Interim Superintendent, Prairie School District in New  Raymer, Colorado.

Michelle Lesser, Executive Director of Educational Services, Fremont School District RE-2 in Florence, Colorado.

Tom Meyer, Superintendent of Schools, Bellevue Community School District in Bellevue, Iowa

William (Bill) Wilson, Superintendent of Schools, Brush School District Re-2J in Brush, Colorado

All finalists will participate in a public forum at Florence JR/SR High School in the auditorium on Tuesday, March 5, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  

All community members are invited to attend the candidate forum and provide comments on each candidate to the Board of Education.  

Each candidate will interview with the Board of Education on Wednesday, March 6.  



The candidate selected by the Board of Education will begin leading the district on July 1, 2024.
