Welcome New Executive Director 
Samantha Veeder recently joined the University as Executive Director of Financial Aid bringing more than 20 years of financial aid experience including directorships at Nazareth, Hobart and William Smith, and Keuka colleges. Sam will oversee the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office, including the supervision of more than 35 full-time financial aid staff.  Welcome, Sam!

    Who's Your Financial Aid Counselor
    Did you know you have a personal financial aid counselor?  Stop by 200 Archbold North to get help if you have questions about financial aid, including loans, setting up a budget or other financial concerns. No appointment is necessary. 
    Avoid Identity Theft 
    Don't become a statistic. The Federal Trade Commission reports that nine million Americans have their identity stolen each year.
    • Check your free credit report annually.
    • Shred all personal documents.
    • Provide personal information on the web ONLY if the url contains "https". 
    • Don't carry your Social Security card in your wallet or purse.

    The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974  (FERPA)  protects the privacy of student education records. Information received in our office is treated with care to insure the privacy and confidentiality of students, and their families.  Financial aid data may be given to other departments, such as the Office of Enrollment Management, and the Office of Donor Relations, who are responsible for performing University functions that require access to this information.  Read more about FERPA on the SU Policy page.
