Are you ready for a review?
You may have noticed we're heading for a total solar eclipse on July 2 and that means we're being asked to dig deep into our shadow.
What's been eclipsed in your life? Your light? Your power? Your purpose? Your own needs?
This eclipse marks a gateway into a very different future but we won't get through it easily if we're carrying too much baggage.
That's why you may notice patterns repeating and old issues you thought you'd dealt with coming up again. It's time to pull them up by the roots.
If you suspect they're persisting because they've been passed down your family line, then you're in the right place, because generational healing is my passion. Below I give examples of how money issues can be inherited on many different levels, but it applies to all areas of our lives.

Financial Karma - What Have You Inherited?

What's your relationship with money? I've spent over twenty years looking at ancestral influences on our lives, and finances is one of the most common places for them to show up.
Money is the ultimate projection screen. It has no agenda of its own, so it becomes a blank canvas where we draw the pictures to illustrate the stories we tell about our lives.
If you go back down your family line you'll probably discover many unresolved emotions related to money such as grief, rage, jealousy, despair and self-judgement. If the events and consequences relating to those feelings were kept secret because there was shame attached, it will have an especially toxic impact. For example:
- poverty might mean that someone in your family died or was given up for adoption
- your family may have had to leave their beloved homeland and family of origin as economic migrants
- someone may have been forced into an unhappy marriage to save the family finances
- someone may not have been able to leave an abusive situation due to a lack of money
- someone may not have been able to follow their heart's longing because of financial need
- someone may have been deprived of love and care, especially as a child, due to an emphasis on material gain and financial security
- someone may have had to spend a long time away from their family to be able to financially support them
- someone may have accrued money in a way that was unethical, illegal, immoral or harmed others - that shame is always passed down the generations
Too often in our history there is a choice between love or money, integrity or money, virtue or money, creative fulfilment or money, loyalty or money, spiritual practice or money. Money itself makes no judgement on this, but society does and so does our conscience - and our relationship with money distorts as a result.
 Often people think they don't have enough money because they don't feel 'deserving' or they lack self esteem. These feelings of not being good enough actually stem from family secrets and ancestral narratives hidden in our subconscious.
Once you can see the connections you've made with money through your family history, it can be much easier to clean the canvas and begin to paint a different picture.
